the past few days

I'm out of summer school. My grade came in the mail the other day, A+. Too bad it didn't show what my percentage was, a 139%.On Tuesday, the last day of school, I exchanged goodbyes and phone numbers with my classmates Yadira, Tony, and Demetrius. I doubt I'll ever see them again. Later that day I had to go downtown to get my state I.D. I was supposed to meet my mother and my sister at the Thompson Center. I waited for about three hours, they were two and a half hours late. My younger sister slept in and then got lost on her way. Oh well. They finally made it and we waited in line to get our I.Ds, which was a surprisingly short wait. MY mother also took (and failed) a test to get her driver's license. She has two more tries before she has to pay the fee again. Afterwards, we walked around downtown searching for a place to eat when I felt as though I stepped on something uneven. I picked up my foot and saw the entire front end of the sole fall off. My mother freaked and took us to this new store she discovered. Three pairs of shoes later, we went home.
Wednesday went by rather fast. I honestly don't remember what I did in the afternoon to speed thngs along so quickly. I practiced for a tiny bit, and read some more of my art history book, but the next thing I knew it was five in the afternoon and my sister's friends had all arrived. They were throwing a badly/hilariously coordinated surprise party for her boyfriend. No one knew what they were doing, which entertained me immensely. When no one was looking, I asked Luis's sister for the keys to her car so that I could hide a present for him in the trunk. No one knew what I was doing, and Luis didn't expect it at all. He and his mother aren't very wealthy, and he knew he wouldn't be getting what he really wanted, a guitar. But he didn't know that I had an old one that I didn't play anymore. The party? Rather fun actually. My girlfriend came by for about half an hour so I could introduce her to everyone. She was a hit, and everyone loved her. After she left, my sister's gay friend Lucito kept telling me how pretty she looked. All of us walked to the schoolyard just down the block as the sun was setting. We all shared stories for a bit, until the sun set. We then picked a lock on the side of the building to access the fire escape. We got to the roof of the school, and we just sat there for a long while saying nothing.
The house was pretty empty on Thursday, or so I thought. I called Jen when she got off of work and she came over.
Fuck, my dad's yelling, I have to go.
