| a burst of creativity
Friday, Jul. 04, 2003 11:13 p.m. Today is the fourth of July. Explosives of all kinds are being detonated tonight outside, but I'm in here not wanting to partake in any of it. It's not because I'm sulking, but rather I just had an unusual burst of creativity tonight. I grabbed my guitar and finger picked melodies were just dripping from all of my digits. I never enjoyed playing classical and flamenco more than that moment. I'm working on a distorted guitar accompaniment to appease my bandmates. I searched furiously for my tape recorder, though it wasn't to be found. So instead, I wrote like a madman in symbols and markings that only I would be able to understand, and only I would be able to value. It's actually quite exciting, well, to me anyway.
