first day of summer school, band practice, the hulk

I have thirty minutes until Family Guy starts...must be quick...Phrase of the day: Jam packed. Today was the first day of summer school. I was reacquainted with a few friends from night school, and even bumped into a Northsider there. first day of school and I already have a group, cool. The teacher, Mr. Nelson, is also the school's gym teacher. But don't let his potbelly and whistle fool you, he's actually quite erudite. Educated to the point where his tangents would last forty minutes at a time. He's a good guy, I'm gonna have a good time there. Oh, and we're reading the Catcher in the Rye. I've been meaning to read that book for a while...
I was off to buddy Saul's house right after school. There, we (being Saul, his cousin Amanda, our drummer, and me) were actually productive and put together more melodies and harmonies for our band. We have two whole songs written out, established that we will be a trio and not a quartet, and I'm still the lead singer. Oy.
On the bus ride home, I ran into another Northsider, Mieka. She and I had a pleasant conversation about work and summer during our brief time together on the bus. She's such a doll, I really wish I could've spent just a little more time with her.
I was on my bed, and I was beat. The harsh hum of the A.C. wall unit became soothing. Then a not so soothing sound jostled me back to life. "Hey David! Meet us at the Davis!" It was my little sister Melissa. She was with her boyfriend, Luis, and her friend Yoshiko. Luis's cousin Tito was there too, on a blind date with Yoshi. I know, complicated. I got up, achingly. But how can I pass up a movie offer? The five of us bought tickets to see the Hulk. When the Hulk finished, we snuck in to watch the finale to Finding Nemo. Ah, good times.
Would you look at that, record time.
